BACKGROUND

The D. K. Dutt Memorial Award For Literary Excellence was established in 2015. Delip Kumar Dutt (1929-2015) was an educator and an avid sportsperson; he taught at St. Paul's Institution (Seremban) and was the Principal of CYMA College (Penang). He was also the President of the Schools Sports Council of Malaysia and many of his former students represented Malaysia in sports, especially hockey and athletics, at international competitions.

In 2015, this award rewarded the spirit of creative thinking and respect for sportsmanship fostered by D.K.Dutt in his role as a renowned Malaysian educator.

This competition was launched at the Cooler Lumpur Literary Festival 2015 in Kuala Lumpur.

DEADLINE NOV 1, 2017, MIDNIGHT MALAYSIAN TIME!

We are delighted to host the launch of Champion Fellas this Sunday at 3pm, at the Royal Selangor Club, Bukit Kiara.
